I carefully opened the box this morning with great care as I knew waiting inside was my new sample album from Wild Magnolia. It was even more gorgeous that I could have wished for. Here’s some pictures to show you its lovliness![]()

We visited Tatton Park today to go to the RHS Show. I love gardens (though not too keen on gardening!) and have always wanted to go to the Chelsea Flower Show. Anyway didn’t make Chelsea this year so I guess this was the next best thing. Incidentally if you’re looking for floral ideas for your wedding, it’s a brilliant place to go!

There was an amazing wall of roses

Simple black and white always looks good

I love these cute little hand made funghi sculptures!

I have to get myself some of this – pink lavender![]()

On Saturday I was at the beautiful West Tower to photograph Claire & Gary’s wedding. What can I say about Claire & Gary? Well they are probably two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. When I first met them I was bowled over by their enthusiasm for life – it’s infectious. Gary is a comedian in more ways than one and regularly appears at the Comedy Store in Manchester as well as lecturing in media at Liverpool University. Claire is a brain box and I don’t fully understand what she does so I’ll just say that she works with genes. Not the type you wear on your legs but the other kind. I think this has to be my favourite wedding venue so far. Thanks to the lovely Lyndsey for looking after me and to Will (and his loud teacher’s voice) for helping me organise a large number of people for the group shots![]()
Their pictures will be available to view in the client area once Claire & Gary are back from honeymoon and the password will be their new surname. Until then here’s a few of my favourites from the day.
The beautiful West Tower Country Hotel in Aughton

Claire’s elegant wedding gown.

and her gorgeous Percy & Flo headband

The boys found it difficult to take anything seriously…

Sadly Claire’s Dad died a number of years ago so it was her glamourous mum who walked her down the aisle.

The service was really nice, especially when they read out the vows they had written to each other

That beautiful wheat field again – at that point the weather was VERY kind to us!

The speeches were very moving as well as being very funny…

Especially when Charlie the chimp came out to play!

The very unusual cake

The evening entertainment was provided by the brilliant ‘Black Ties’ who got everybody up dancing and Gary’s Dad’s skiffle band – the ‘Gorton Syncopaters’ complete with washboard and tea chest base!
